Kohuorangi Communications captures kaupapa Māori through photography, videography, social content and long-form storytelling. We work alongside whānau, hapū, iwi and organisations to document events, people and stories that deserve to be seen and remembered.
KOR was invited to capture the Ringa Rangahau Symposium, bringing together researchers, practitioners, tauira and community voices to share kaupapa, ideas and knowledge across a range of areas.
Our role was to document the event, capture the key kōrero and highlight the people and perspectives contributing to the symposium. The final content helped extend the reach of the kaupapa beyond the event itself and created a lasting record of the mahi shared on the day.

KOR had the privilege of attending and capturing a Māori Battalion D Company kaupapa, documenting the people, stories and moments that continue to honour the legacy of those who served.
The video was created to preserve the atmosphere of the day, acknowledge the whakapapa and sacrifice connected to D Company, and help share this important history with whānau and future generations.
KOR captured the Hikirangi Symposium, delivered by Ngāti Pāhauwera and the Wairoa Business Hub, bringing together local businesses, entrepreneurs and organisations from across the region.
The event created an opportunity for businesses to showcase their mahi, connect with potential clients, build relationships and strengthen local networks. Our video focused on capturing the energy of the day and highlighting the people, businesses and opportunities at the heart of the symposium.
KOR created a promotional video for Pūtiki Wharanui to help introduce their archival services and kaupapa to whānau.
The video highlighted their mahi supporting whānau, hapū and iwi to preserve, organise and protect important taonga such as photographs, documents, oral histories and other records, while keeping whānau connected to and in control of their own stories.
KOR was invited to capture Te Taitimu Trust’s Papakāinga Housing Expo at PukeAute Papakāinga in Te Hauke.
The event brought together whānau, housing specialists, government agencies and industry experts to share practical information around developing papakāinga and creating pathways toward housing on Māori land.
Our role was to document the kaupapa, capture the conversations and help showcase an event focused on giving whānau the knowledge, connections and confidence to progress their own housing aspirations.
